Biggest Mistake yet.
I have foolishly given my sister my password to this website in order for her to help me. That previous post 'something about being a superior sister', is from her not me. You are pretty cool though Steph, Thanks for your help.
Tag (from a month ago)
Finally, I got this tag to work. My sister and I finally figured out how a laptop can sometimes be different than a desktop computer. Frustrating, and it only took a month. So here goes my tag, enjoy!
Tag #1
1. Where did you meet your husband?
Working the graveyard shift at ICON (makes ProForm exercise equipment)
2. What was the first thing you said to your husband?
"Could you please fix this machine? Now." (No wonder he fell in love with me. Once you get past the hard exterior I'm all fluffy inside.)
3. Where was your first date?
Bennihanas in SLC for dinner and then to the laser light show at the Planetarium. We slept through the whole light show. I remember the music was Pearl Jam and loud. Who sleeps through that kind of noise... two people that haven't been to sleep for 48 hours (graveyard shift).
4. Where was your first kiss?
At my apartment that night. And I had to kiss him first.
5. Did you have a long or short courtship/engagement?
Both! I fell in love with him and then he went on a church mission for 2 years to England. I went on my mission to the Philippines. He "Dear Jane'd" me and I "Dear John'ed" him then we came home and knew we were perfect for each other. (That's the short version).
6. Where did you get engaged?
After the carriage ride in SLC in a park. I forget the name of the park. Doesn't really matter the name of the park only that he asked me.
7. Where were you married?
Logan Temple
8. How did your reception go?
I thought it was wonderful. He thought it was hot. He tucked a washcloth into the back of my dress to wipe his sweat off in between guests greeting us. He also didn't like his picture being taken.
9. How was your honeymoon?
One word. Relaxing. We were at a cabin near Jackson Hole, quiet, just the two of us. Needless to say, we got bored and came home early to be around people.

I Can't Believe...
How Superior my Sister is! I've always know it, but have been so unwilling to say it out loud. I can no longer hide the truth!
Stephanie, you truly are a blessing in my life! You have been the second best example I have ever had. It's no wonder that you are the Favorite Child!
I love you!

I made a new friend!
It's been hard for me to go up and talk to new people (that are not in our ward) and I finally did it. I met someone and she just moved here 6 months ago from Montreal, Canada and she has a little girl in P's two classes. I think P is realizing that I'm not very good at this because she has started giving me a shove in the right direction. She told me that we should invite them over to play. Good idea but first I think I should hide our "still moving in mess". I have to keep reminding myself that it takes time to make friends. I made some great ones in NY so I just need to give myself more time.

Squiggy, the Space Dog
P and L have been trying to agree on something to play today. P was adamant on playing 'Squiggy, the Space Dog'. You wonder what that game is? So did we. Go to find out it's a lot like hide-n-seek. The person seeking is 'Squiggy'. P also informed me that in 'Squiggy, the Space Dog' there is no counting. You just yell 'READY' and if no one answers back then Squiggy goes looking. This week, I bought P a cute pink leotard for her dance class. She won't wear it when she is doing her rocking cat dance. Pink is for a cute dance and might I add she doesn't do cute dances. I never thought it would be so hard to get my girl to wear pink. If I'd bought the black one there wouldn't be this problem. Blake and I have been asked to support a Saturday night parenting class put on by the ward missionaries. I guess just to be warm bodies. Anyways, when the Bishop heard that we'd have to take our kids if they wanted both of us to go (don't know babysitters yet) he and his wife offered to watch them for us. They had 3 of their own grandkids there and 2 more kids would be nothing. (They raised ten kids.) So now they know the good, bad, and obnoxious about us and probably think we'd benefit GREATLY from the parenting class.

Invigorating Day of Church!
Today it was 60 degrees and ALL (4 inches) the snow is melted. But it felt nice. We had an interesting day at church and I was sweating and not because of the warm weather. Blake and I were asked to teach the 17 yr. olds Sunday School class. We are just filling in until they call someone. Anyways, a senior girl brought a guy friend to church and he had some great questions. Blake and I were having flashbacks of our missions and it really got our blood pumping. We were teaching the first lesson to introduce the Book of Mormon. Next thing you know we are explaining the apostasy, restoration, where the Gold Plates are now, the current prophet today and that he has 12 apostles, and why men only have the priesthood and what it is. It was crazy-good. I hoped we answered his questions and that he felt comfortable asking them. I'm glad that Blake was there helping with the questions. I enjoyed teaching and both Blake and I agreed that we should start preparing the lesson a little sooner than just the night before.

Resolution, to have more snow!
We have snow. Finally. I know it doesn't compare to the snow that Albany has been getting but I am very proud of our 4 inches. School was cancelled because of it. It's not a lot of snow but it is very slick and you add our hills with it and there is no stopping us (literally). In the picture above notice the drop-off cliff behind them. It would be great for sledding if there weren't a forest of trees to stop them "dead" in their tracks. I also asked the kids what New Year's Resolutions we should have as a family. The idea was totally lost on them. After Lane said "No more soda" (they don't even drink soda and Blake and I are done with soda. yes you read correctly!) I knew that they had no idea what I was asking. Paige quickly followed with "watch more movies". Go figure. Anyways, there are many things I would love to do better this new year. I want to be more healthy and make it a goal to exercise 5 days a week. The 2nd thing would be to become a closer family. Maybe it's the cold weather, busy days, and new move, but I find that I'm a little quick to anger. And I find myself doing a lot of apologizing to a 4 & 7 year old. I really look forward to warm weather again. Go fishing, camping, swimming in the pool (Gretchen you're invited), and time outside.
