Redemption

It's almost like Mother's Day all over again.  Don't you just love those gifts that keep giving and giving.  My lost pole was found.  So I guess I officially was given two fishing poles this year. This was the magic tool that was constructed:

I took Blake and Scott only about 20 minutes and 5 casts.  We also found a spiderman pole.  It had seen better days so now it will see the dump.  It was a lucky night all around.  Lane caught 6 blue gill and Paige caught 7 of them.  This was her first real catch.  Not the kind where we hook it and she reels it in.  She did it all- cast, squeal "I got one", and reel.  Unfortunately for me she has not learned to remove them from the hook so my hands still smell a little fishy. Blake and I are realizing that they put a cramp in "our" fishing time.  By time we get one fish off the hook the other kid has caught something (fish, moss, small tree).  

  

This lake is only 5 mins. from our house.  It sure makes it fun for all of us.  Look at that smile. Priceless.  Have a good day, everyone.  I'm planning on it.
